Hotspot is a question type where the user, on the basis of the instruction(s) provided, shall indicate the correct answer by clicking on the appropriate place inside a photo or illustration. It is possible to click anywhere on the image and the selection appears as a cross. The answer can be changed by moving the cross.

- Marks: Set points for unanswered, correct and incorrect answers. Note, marks for unanswered are achieved if the question is left unanswered - if the candidate does click anywhere. An option for this question type is "Regard as unanswered outside defined hotspots" - if the candidate clicks outside the defined areas, marks for unanswered will be achieved if this option is selected.
